"Wonderful stay in a cozy, clean room. Welcoming and full of positive energy, definitely recommended! Maastricht is a stone's throw away. It was fantastic!"
"Had a nice stay. We arrived later in the evening, which was not a problem. Breakfast is optional, but coffee / tea is free. You can also buy something fresh / alcoholic there for a fee. The location is great, close to the train direction Maastricht. "
After our 4 children had left our house to build their own lives elsewhere, we could do two things with our house: 1. sell and start living in a smaller house or 2. start a B&B in our house so that we could continue to live here . The first option meant that we could no longer receive our children with spouses and children (now 14 in total) who all live in the north of the country at home with overnight accommodation. Because we have a wonderful house in which we have been living for almost 25 years, we have chosen to set up a B&B. In fact, our house lends itself perfectly for this because we have a separate entrance for the 8 rooms that were available on the 1st and 2nd floors. In the spring of 2013 we have thus arranged the 8 rooms for the B&B. As a result, the B&B has 4 bedrooms, a bathroom, a dining room and a kitchen. There is one more room for private purposes. On April 1, 2013 we had our first guests and to our surprise there was immediately a lot of interest in our B&B, both from tourists and business people. In addition, the university also exerted considerable influence. The strength of our B & B is the location (base for both Maastricht and Valkenburg and Heuvelland. In addition, you are in 20 minutes in beautiful cities such as Aachen (Germany) and Liege (Belgium). Furthermore, the station is 10 minutes walk and you are with both train as the shuttle bus from the P + R in 5-10 minutes in Maastricht. We hope that you will also have a pleasant stay at Het Bovenhuis. See you in our beautiful South Limburg, Monique and Gustaaf van Ditzhuijzen
